About David Kowalick

David began cartooning in his teens and went on to work as an animator and graphic artist for major newspapers including the NT News and Adelaide News. His illustrations have appeared in magazines, books, and his earlier title ‘The Bottomline’ (2002), a humorous take on angling.

Now a bird guide with Bellbird Tours, David travels across Australia helping others spot rare and fascinating birds. His tours are filled with humorous moments and colourful characters—many of whom find their way into his cartoons.
